For those who might have been following the development of the ViA® Model, you would know that for 35 years, Lars Olof Känngård and his co-inventor, Mats Engström, are the Swedish IT trendsetters. Together with a unique management team and world class advisers, they have been making their mark on history by bringing to the world, several of well-known innovations within it, in security, telecom and systems solutions.
"Since 1998, we have been continuously developing solutions for going towards a cashless society, making POS devices affordable by innovating value-added services and turning merchants' costs into a new source of Revenue Stream", states Lars Olof Känngård.
Lars Olof Känngård, is indeed, a true 'Visionary'. At the tender age of 16, Lars submitted the application for his first patent. He later invented the system for Voice Mail, that is still being used in Sweden and now holds his most disruptive innovation of all his over 60 patents, the ViACard MiniPAY™ Solution, which is well on its way to revolutionizing the world of payments as they have been known up till now.
Mats Engström, is the co‐inventor of the ViA MiniPay™ concept and, as Lars always states, “my half brain.” Mats and Lars have been a team since 1983, and all of the solutions created by them are built and put into work by Mats. Mats is like a hardware system, a component and a software core‐developer who has built his own solutions from an early age and now has over 40 years of experience in the same.
